The ki-kompass.lu website is managed by the Service de Coordination de la Recherche et de l’Innovation pédagogiques et technologiques (SCRIPT) of the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth (MENJE) of the Luxembourg Government.

Artificial intelligence tools available on this website

The ki-kompass.lu website provides users with a set of tools based on artificial intelligence technologies (hereinafter the “AI Tools”), designed to support teaching and educational purposes.

The AI Tools offered on the website have undergone a selection and evaluation process conducted by SCRIPT, in accordance with current national guidelines on artificial intelligence in the field of education, as well as the principles of quality, educational relevance and digital responsibility.

In this context, SCRIPT ensures, where applicable, that contractual agreements are entered with the relevant service providers to ensure compliance with the applicable European and national legal framework, in particular:

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (GDPR);

the European regulations applicable to artificial intelligence systems (AI Act).

For each listed AI Tool, clear and accessible information regarding data protection, terms of use and applicable licensing arrangements is made available to the user.

It is the user’s responsibility to read and accept this information before using the AI Tools. SCRIPT cannot be held liable for any use of the AI Tools made without prior consultation or unawareness of the said information.

Although SCRIPT has carried out due diligence to ensure that the proposed AI tools are suitable for teaching and learning contexts, and has implemented organisational, technical and contractual measures to minimise the risks of inappropriate use, it has no means of controlling users’ behaviour or the ways in which these tools might be used.

Consequently, despite the measures put in place to reduce the identified risks, it is not possible to absolutely prevent any misuse, misappropriation or non-compliant use of the AI Tools. SCRIPT therefore accepts no liability in the event of inappropriate, misappropriated or non-compliant use of the AI Tools by users.
