EduMedia Day 2026 – KI Kompass in Practice

This year’s edition focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the classroom. The event is organised by SCRIPT in cooperation with IFEN.

The training is aimed at teachers of all subjects – regardless of whether they already have experience with AI or not. Its objective is to support participants in understanding the KI Kompass strategy and integrating it into everyday teaching practice in a concrete and practical way.

The Edumedia Day opens with a keynote by an AI expert, providing an overview of current developments, opportunities and challenges related to AI in education.

This is followed by three workshop slots spread across the morning and afternoon. In each slot, participants can choose from several sessions, which explore AI from two complementary perspectives:

• Teaching about AI: AI as a subject of learning – fundamentals, how it works, and its societal implications
• Teaching without and with AI: AI as a tool and medium – fostering critical and creative competences, as well as concrete and responsible ways of using AI in teaching

The workshops offer practical examples, concrete ideas and space for reflection. Together, participants will explore how AI can be integrated into teaching and learning processes in a meaningful, critical and context-sensitive manner.

The EduMedia Day also provides opportunities to exchange with colleagues, reflect on one’s own practice and return to school with ideas that can be implemented directly.
