Pilot on AI Integration in Moodle

The SCRIPT is launching a pilot project to explore innovative forms of digital learning and to integrate artificial intelligence into existing pedagogical environments. The project aims to evaluate selected AI plugins within Moodle and their potential to enhance teaching, learning, and content creation.

The pilot is open to three types of stakeholders:

  1. Individual teachers wishing to experiment with AI supported features for flipped classrooms or structured formative assessments.
  2. Secondary schools interested in setting up a dedicated Moodle space in collaboration with a local steering group.
  3. CNES commissions, for developing interactive online learning experiences linked to official curricula.

The AI tools to be tested include:

  • AI assisted creation of course texts and images
  • Chatbots for course related questions
  • Automated feedback generation on student work
  • Automatic generation of self-correcting quiz questions
  • Adaptation of materials for learners with special needs

The environment will also include advanced mathematical and computer science tools, as well as gamification elements. Participants will benefit from extended Moodle functionalities throughout the project.

A key objective of the pilot is to collect insights on actual usage, identify effective practices and configurations, and develop clear documentation and guidance for schools and educational institutions wishing to adopt these tools responsibly.
