Press Conference: Official Presentation of KI Kompass
The Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, presented KI Kompass at a press conference on 6 October 2025.
With this new framework, the Ministry provides decisive guidelines for responsibly harnessing the possibilities offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), consciously assessing its risks and encouraging innovation with the aim of providing high-quality education.
KI Kompass brings together three closely related areas:
- Orientation: strategic framework
KI Kompass provides a clear strategic framework for the responsible and educational use of AI in schools. The aim is to promote quality education and equal opportunities, as well as to support teachers.
The proposed strategic framework is being further developed through a broad consultation process involving all partners of the school system – including school leaders, teachers, pedagogical staff, as well as student and parent representatives – and aligned with school practice.
- Practice: ki-kompass.lu platform
Here, teachers, pedagogical staff, school leaders and students find validated and secure AI tools, practice-oriented examples, teaching materials and information on pilot projects, all designed to provide concrete support for teaching. - Exchange: community & development
KI Kompass is an evolving tool that will be developed in collaboration with schools. Teachers are invited to share their experiences within Communities of Practice, training courses, and via the national AI portal (ki-kompass@script.lu), thereby actively contributing to the development of KI Kompass.
KI Kompass invites all schools and educational partners to work together to shape the responsible and innovative use of AI in Luxembourg.
