Retrospective: edumedia Day 2026

On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the training “edumedia Day 2026” took place at EduPôle in Walferdange. This edition focused on the theme “KI Kompass in practice” and on the question of how to teach about, with, or without AI in a concrete and responsible way.

More than 70 participants from fundamental and secondary schools took part in the training day and were able to attend the presentations by

• Christophe Stammet, “scientific mediator” at Scienteens Lab at the University of Luxembourg, on the topic: Understanding AI to teach about and with AI, and
• Diana Knodel, director of fobizz, on the topic: Learning with AI: between opportunities and practical challenges.

After these informative and inspiring presentations, participants could choose from nine thematic workshops offered by fobizz, teachino, VittaScience, LMDDC, BEE SECURE, Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (ZpB), Scienteens Lab and the edumedia-group, each addressing different aspects related to AI.

During a Gallery Walk, participants were also able to exchange ideas with colleagues or obtain information from the workshop organizers, as well as from the KI Kompass team, the edumedia-group and the Communities of Practice (CoP) from IFEN.
